Christie L. Finney joins Sofitel Washington DC Lafayette Square as The New Director of Sales and Marketing

WASHINGTON, Dec. 4, 2017 /PRNewswire/ — Sofitel Washington DC Lafayette Square, one of AccorHotels luxury brand properties in the nation’s capital, is excited to announce Ms. Christie Finney as the new Director of Sales and Marketing.

Christie joins the French luxury hotel with over 16 years of progressive experience in the hospitality industry and extensive knowledge of the luxury market in Washington DC. Prior to starting her new position, she worked as Director of Sales and Marketing for Washington Plaza, one of the District’s historic hotels.

Ms. Finney began her hospitality career in 1997 as Personnel Director and Corporate Trainer Liaison for Dave & Buster’s in Atlanta, Georgia. In 2000, she moved to Maryland and served as Special Events Sales Manager for Dave & Buster’s in North Bethesda. In 2003, she moved to Washington DC as Director of Private Dining and Catering for Zola. In 2005, she started working for RB Properties as Sales Manager for Morrison-Clark Inn and Henley Park Hotel in Washington DC. In 2007, she was promoted to Director of Sales for Morrison-Clark Inn. Shortly after, she transferred to State Plaza Hotel holding the same position. In 2011, she worked for Washington Plaza serving the next 6 years as Director of Sales and Marketing.

Raised in Arlington, Virginia, Christie is a multi-sport athlete who loves playing basketball and running. She recently ran the 2017 New York City Marathon. Christie’s passion for hospitality shines through her love of coordinating parties and cooking for her friends and family during the holidays.

Christie received her degree in Bachelor of Science in Management from Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta Georgia through a four-year full athletic scholarship.
